I didn’t manage to do the creature animation, or finish our 3DE Rotomation exercise. IContinue reading “Week 10 – 19.06.2020 – Submission and reel link.”

Week 9 – 10.06.2020 – Thesis and FMP presentation

For my thesis I will carry on researching Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and how it’s used in animation, design, the entertainment industry and on the internet. I will essentially expand on what I wrote about in my essay in January, and some other areas that I didn’t research before. I have two potential titlesContinue reading “Week 9 – 10.06.2020 – Thesis and FMP presentation”

Week 7 – 28.05.2020 – 1 to 1 tutorial

Collab. Samurai: to unparent the hand from the sword, at the end of the sequence duplicate the sword and unparent the duplicate, then hide the parented version. Week 5 – 13.05.2020 – catch-up

Access to the render farm will be available quite soon. I showed Luke the problem I had with my samurai rig. Apparently the sword isn’t actually straight in front of him, it looks straight because of the motion blur in the reference footage. You never know what frame rate the footage has been shot at.Continue reading “Week 5 – 13.05.2020 – catch-up”

Week 4 – 08.05.2020 – 1 to 1 tutorial

I received some feedback on my pommel horse animation. At the top of the arc the hips seem to be hitting a wall, when it should look smoother. The translation Y, X and Z need to be smoother, slow down and the harsh down after the peak of its arc. Remember that the upper bodyContinue reading “Week 4 – 08.05.2020 – 1 to 1 tutorial”

Week 4 – 06.05.2020 – catch-up

Today we just had a little chat about industry while we worked on our stuff. Apparently few companies pay your overtime, except for DNEG, but they compensate by taking good care of their employees. Anything they want or need, the company will provide it. They even pay for your overtime dinners, which can be anythingContinue reading “Week 4 – 06.05.2020 – catch-up”
